Indiana Basketball: 5 players IU should sign if the Big Ten had free agency
By Alec Lasley
Myles Dread (G; Penn State)
The rising sophomore could be in store for a breakout season after flashing promise a season ago.
Dread played a pivotal reserve role as a wing in a Lamar Stevenes driven offense for Penn State, but still had 13 games of double-digit scoring, averaging 8.3 points on the season.
Another very good shooter, Dread had 18 games with multiple made threes, including six with four or more. Overall he shot 35.6 percent from deep on the season and only had four games in which he didn’t make a three.
Being a spot up shooter the majority of his minutes, attempting less than a free throw a game, Dread would be a low maintenance wing who could still allow the ball to be in Devote Green’s hands the majority of the time they are on the floor.
Because Archie Miller likes to play a lineup with multiple guards, Dread would be able to play multiple positions and be productive all over the floor.
