Indiana Basketball: 5 players IU should sign if the Big Ten had free agency
By Alec Lasley
Jordan Bohannon (PG; Iowa)
There is no question about Bohannon’s shooting ability and Indiana’s lack thereof and Bohannon even torched Indiana twice last year in the final few minutes of both games to give Iowa the win.
As a career 41 percent three point shooter, he made 30 more threes than the leading three point shooter on IU (79-48). As a team, the Hoosiers shot just 32 percent a season ago, and had just two players shoot above 34 percent on the year.
With Indiana’s lack of shooting, their interior game struggled at times too because the defense was able to sag off the perimeter and clog up the driving lanes for the wings of Indiana.
The Third Team All-Big Ten last season has a knack for taking big shots, but also making them as well.
While Indiana does have quality guards, they lack the three point shooting and confidence to knock down open, and even guarded, shots. His ability to do both would bring a new dimension to the Indiana offense and make it much more effective all over the floor.
