The Indiana football program is standing out for in-state offensive lineman Randy Holtz ahead of his official visits this fall.

After missing out on a top target Josh Fryar last week, the Indiana football program is putting a full blitz on another in-state offensive lineman in Randy Holtz.

The Snyder High (Fort Wayne, IN) lineman told thehoosier.com that the Hoosiers in addition to Minnesota and Purdue, are three schools that are standing out in his recruitment.

"“What I like about those three is that they all have a family feel to them,” Holtz said. “When you talk to them, it feels like family.”"

Holtz was offered by Indiana in January and has been one of their top offensive line targets ever since then. With the offensive line a bit of a question mark moving forward, the Indiana staff knows it’s a position of need and are doing anything they can to make Holtz feel at home.

"“Over at Indiana, you can talk to any of the coaches and nothing feels awkward,” Holtz explained. “It feels like home there.”"

Holtz has yet to take any visits but he is expected to visit all three schools in the fall before ultimately making his decision.

Darren Hiller, Running Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach for Indiana, is the lead on Holtz’ recruitment but to no surprise, Mike Hart is also heavily involved with Holtz. Hart has been one of the best recruiters for Tom Allen and Indiana, and looks to reel in another top target this fall.

Holtz is currently a three-star prospect ranked as the No. 19 prospect in the state of Indiana in the 2020 class.
