1. Michigan Wolverines

Conference: Big Ten
2018 record: 10-3

Is this finally the year for Michigan?

It’s now Jim Harbough’s fifth season and it’s time to finally take the Big Ten crown away from Ohio State.

After losing their opener a season ago, the Wolverines went on to win 10 in a row before getting blown out in their final two games of the season (Ohio State, Florida).

Josh Gatti enters as a new offensive coordinator but will have Shea Patterson, who finished last season with 2,600 passing yards and 22 touchdowns.

The backfield is the biggest question mark however. The Wolverines will have to find a way to deal with losing senior Karan Higdon and junior Chris Evans.

With such a young running back core, they will rely heavily on their experienced and talented wide receivers. Donovan Peoples-Jones, Nico Collins, Ronnie Bell and Tarik Black all return but will need to stay healthy in order to have a successful year.

The Wolverines do lose a lot on the defensive side of the ball and look to fill many gapping holes.

This has to be the year though, right?
