4. Penn State Nittany Lions

Conference: Big Ten
2018 record: 9-4

Three-year starting quarterback Trace McSorley isn’t the only Nittany Lion no longer part of the program. In total, they saw five starters leave early for the NFL Draft as well as 11 payers entering the transfer portal.

Projected to have Tommy Stevens as their quarterback, he decided to be one of the 11 transfers, leaving Penn State with unproven Sean Clifford as the most likely replacement under center.

Though there are questions about how the quarterbacks will step up, it’s an even bigger question about the wideouts.  Eight of the 12 scholarship receivers on the roster will either be a freshman or sophomore in 2019.

The defense is as strong as always, deep and talented at all three levels and will be the strength of the team.

An offensive explosion that we are used to from Penn State will most likely be absent in 2019.
