One of the most popular wings in the 2021 class has received a handful of high major offers since the live communication period, with the Indiana basketball program being the latest.

The 2021 in-state class in Indiana is loaded with some of the best talent in the country, and while the Indiana basketball staff is highly involved with most, if not all, of the top prospects, they recently got involved with a top out of state prospect.

Trey Patterson has been one of the hottest recruits since the live commutation period opened on June 15, collecting a handful of high major offers. Today, Indiana put their hat in the race as they extended an offer to the New Jersey native.

The 6-foot-7 wing was a recent standout at the NBPA Top 100 camp in Charlottesville, VA as he continued his breakthrough spring and summer.

Along with Indiana, Patterson has offers from Auburn, Cincinnati, Florida, Georgetown, Georgia, Maryland, Tennessee, UConn, and Villanova, amongst others.

While the Hoosiers were one of the first teams to reach out to Patterson at the start of the live communication period, they held off until now to extend the offer.

As a sophomore at Rutgers Prep he averaged 19.0 points an 9.5 rebounds per game.  On the AAU circuit, he spends his time with Team Rio, playing a year up, averaging 8.7 points and 5.7 rebounds a game.

With a college-ready body, Patterson has a great combination of guard and forward skills. With his length and size, he is able to finish above and through most opponents around the paint. While he has a good stroke from deep, he is also a very capable player around the basket, utilizing his great athleticism.

Patterson is currently ranked as the No. 26 prospect in the class according to 247Sports composite rankings.
