Indiana Football: Five storylines heading into the 2019 season

Could this be Mike Hart’s last season?

Despite all of the play on the field, one of the biggest storylines could hinge on Mike Hart.

Not only is Hart the running back’s coach and an offensive assistant, he is also one of the lead recruiters for Indiana.

There is no question that the running attack has taken a step up, and a big one at that, since his arrival in 2017, and that is no coincidence.

With names like Tevin Coleman and Jordan Howard coming prior, Hart is building his brand off of Stevie Scott and soon to be Sampson James.

Just this past offseason, Hart decided to take his name out of the running for the Notre Dame running back’s coach after being included on their ‘short list’ to replace Autry Denson.

Hart obviously has a pull with recruits, especially in the midwest, and sooner rather than later he is destined to advance his coaching career, and Hoosier fans hope it’s within the Indiana football program.
