Will Indiana become bowl eligible?

The Hoosiers haven’t been to a bowl game since 2016, and haven’t won one since 1991, but this year they hope to change that.

After posting 5-7 records in each of the last two seasons, all seven losses came in the Big Ten, despite being very competitive in most games.

There have been seven games in the past two seasons combined in which they either had halftime leads or only lost by one score, showing their ability to hang with the top of the division and conference. Now, it’s time for them to break through.

With a lot of winnable games early in the season, it is crucial for the Hoosiers to get off to a quick start before the meat of the Big Ten schedule takes place, with three of four games towards the end of the season coming on the road.

If Indiana wants to build off of their great recruiting class and continue to build for the future, a wining season and a bowl eligible year is a must in 2019.
