Guard: Isiah Thomas (1979-1981)
A National Championship winning point guard, Isiah Thomas achieved that honor in 1981, also taking home the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award.
Also a consensus All-American in 1981, Thomas averaged 15.4 points and 5.7 assists in his two year career in Bloomington.
Thomas was part of the Indiana team that won back-to-back Big Ten titles where he led the team in scoring (423 points), assists (159), and steals (62) during his freshman season and became the first freshman to be named to the All-Big Ten team.
As a sophomore Thomas scored 23 points in the Championship win over the North Carolina Tar Heels.
