Indiana Basketball: All-time Hoosiers starting five
By Alec Lasley
Guard: Calbert Cheaney (1989-1993)
Arguably the best Big Ten player to ever play in the conference, Calbert Cheaney still holds the all-time conference record for most points in a career (2,613).
During his four seasons at Indiana, Cheaney took home nearly every honor possible. That included the National Player of the Year, both Wooden and Naismith, unanimous All-American, Big Ten Player of the Year and also reached a Final Four in the 1992 season.
Leading Indiana to a 105-27 record and the NCAA Tournament all four years, he averaged 19.8 points on 55.9 percent from the field, 43.8 percent from three, and 5.4 rebounds per game in his career.
Over the course of his Indiana career, Cheaney scored 30 or more points thirteen times which leads him to the all-time Indiana scoring record as well, by nearly 200 points.
