Two of the top players in the 2020 class have expressed interest in setting up a visit with the Indiana basketball program.

While the Indiana basketball staff is busy at the NBPA Top100 Camp this weekend, two of the top prospects in the 2020 class have expressed their interest in taking a visit to Bloomington.

Whitney Young guard DJ Steward has seen his recruitment heat up throughout the spring and early summer, gaining interest from many high major programs including Indiana.

Steward, playing with MeanStreets (IL) on the AAU circuit, received an offer from the Hoosiers on May 12 and the mutual interest has increased over the past couple of weeks.

In an interview with PrepHoops, Steward mentioned that Indiana, along with Louisville, and Illinois are three schools he wants to visit sometime in June. He is coming off of an official visit to Texas last weekend.

Steward is a physical combo guard who can score in multiple ways, and in bunches. His scoring ability was on full display on the AAU circuit as he had scoring outputs of 37 as well as 46 points over the course of the same weekend.

Though he is still developing an ability to shoot off of the dribble, he is a terrific catch and shoot player, as he shot 37 percent from three this past season.

Steward averaged 24.1 points per game while shooting over 50 percent from the field this spring while making one of the biggest rankings jump, up to No. 31 in the 247Sports rankings.

The other member of the 2020 class that has said he will be visiting Indiana is five-star forward Dawson Garcia, per Jeff Rabjohns.

Garcia is a smooth lefty who has tremendous skill and versatility. WIth ball handling skills of a guard, and the ability to score over either shoulder in the post, Garcia also takes advantage of slower defenders out on the wing.

Residing in Minnesota, Garcia plays for the same AAU team as current Hoosier Race Thompson, D1 Minnesota.

Garcia had this to say regarding Indiana.

"“They came to my house when they could do the in-home visits, and they were just showing me film on how they would use me and I really saw myself playing in that style. It was cool to see all the success that guys like me have had there.”"

The Prior Lake High forward  is ranked No. 23 in the 2020 class by 247Sports.
