The Indiana football program is expecting to host a big name recruit in the 2020 class over the weekend.

A former Miami (FL.) commit is expected to be in Bloomington over the weekend as he has high interest in the Indiana football program.

This will be the second time in as many weeks that the Indiana staff and guard Jonathan Denis had contact as the staff was at the FIU camp on June 6 in which Denis attended.

Denis, of South Dade High School (Homestead, FL), is a four-star recruit who is currently ranked around the 300 mark in most recruiting sites, currently No. 346 in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Originally committing to Miami in July of 2018, he then re-opened his recruitment in October.

With LSU, Oregon, Miami, Florida State, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Indiana and Louisville in his top eight, he most recently took a visit to Louisville at the end of May.

As of now, Indiana has just two offensive linemen commits, and one being a guard in the 2020 class. With three of the current linemen being juniors, having a strong 2020 offensive line class will give them the ability to learn behind a veteran senior class.

Notably, the Hoosiers have had a terrific running game over the last four seasons, all behind the strong offensive line, one of the better in the Big Ten.

With five offensive linemen being drafted in the NFL Draft since 2010, Denis has the potential to be another name that’s added to the list.
