One of the top targets for Indiana basketball in the 2020 class is making a big move for his senior season.

2020 F Matt Cross, a top target for Indiana basketball, has decided to make a move ahead of his senior season, transferring to northeast powerhouse Brewster Academy.

The rising senior averaged 22.3 points and 9.5 rebounds on the Nike EYBL season, running with BABC (MA).

Ranked No. 87 according to 247Sports, Cross has seen a tremendous jump in his recruitment throughout the spring and holds offers from UMass, Penn State, South Carolina, Miami, Florida, and Illinois.

Formerly with Woodstock Academy, the 6-foot-7 forward made an official visit to Indiana at the end of May, and by all results it went very well.

Cross has always been the star of his team, often getting the majority of the attention from opponents so making this change to a school that has the potential No. 1 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft in Terrence Clarke, and two four-star guards in DeMarr Langford and Jamal Mashburn, will be a different level of competition for Cross. A stretch-four who can shoot the ball and create much needed floor spacing on the offensive end, he will find a much easier time getting open looks.

As his ranking continues to increase, this move will only help Cross continue to develop as an all around player and be ready to be a high major contributor as a freshman.

With a need for front court depth in the next couple of classes, a potential commitment from Cross would be a nice addition to the 2020 class.
