Indiana Basketball: Six goals for Archie Miller moving forward
Finish top three in the Big Ten twice in the next three seasons
The Big Ten is a hard conference to win in, and Indiana is reeling from last season, but it is still reasonable to expect this. In fact, it may be setting the bar too low. It’s time to start seeing some consistent on-court success from Miller. A top three regular season finish would be a stepping stone for greater things to come.
At this point, the Hoosiers (fans and players both) need some kind of success to latch onto for hope. Not only is a top three finish good momentum for the future, but it is good momentum leading into March and could result in a Sweet Sixteen appearance. This would give the fan base some satiation and trust in Miller’s vision going forward.
There is work to be done in Bloomington. The players know it, the staff knows it, and the fans most definitely know it. This offseason is a chance to set the tone for the upcoming season, which is crucial for the future of the program.
If Archie Miller keeps these goals in mind, then it would cause everyone to ease up and give the critics less to clamor about.
