Indiana Football: Antwaan Randle El part of 2020 College Football Hall of Fame ballot

Former Indiana football great Antwaan Randle El has been selected as part of the 2020 College Football Hall of Fame ballot.

One of the best players in Indiana football history is up for a great honor as Antwaan Randle El is one of many players elected to the Hall of Fame ballot.

An All-American for the Hoosiers in 2001 as a quarterback, Randle-El finished with 7,469 passing yards, 3,895 rushing yards, and 92 total touchdowns over his college career. He became the first player in FBS history to surpass both 6,000 passing and 3,000 rushing yards in a career.

Randle El also finished sixth in the Heisman Trophy voting during his senior season with he Hoosiers.

Not only was he a great passer, he was most known for his tremendous running ability. After his career was over, he had rushed for more yards than any quarterback in FBS history.

During his time in the NFL, he amassed 370 career passes for 4,467 yards and 27 touchdowns, and also finished with more than 4,400 kick return yards throughout his pro career.

For now, Randle El is part of the Tampa Bay buccaneers coaching staff as an offensive assistant, agreeing to the contract this offseason.

In total, there are 76 players and five coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and 101 players and 33 coaches from the divisional ranks (FCS).

The 2020 voting deadline for the ballot is June 21, and the announcement of the 2020 Class will be made in January 2020 in the days leading up to the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship in New Orleans.
