Indiana Basketball: OG Anunoby to be activated for Game two of NBA Finals
By Alec Lasley
Former Indiana basketball forward OG Anunoby to be activated ahead of game two of the NBA Finals.
Indiana basketball fans and Raptor’s fans around the country will finally get their first taste of OG Anunoby in the 2019 NBA postseason.
Raptors head coach Nick Nurse told reporters on Thursday that the plan was to activate Anunoby for Game two on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps.
Anunoby has yet to see any action this postseason after undergoing an emergency appendectomy April 11, right before the start of the playoffs.
A greatly improved bench for the Raptors as of late, if Anunoby is able to provide any sort of contribution, it will only strengthen their chances at knocking off the reigning champs, Golden State Warriors.
In addition to his scoring punch off the bench, his defensive versatility would be a great addition when going up against such a powerful group of wings on the Warriors. Though Kevin Durant is still very much questionable for the Warriors, if he were to come back, Anunoby’s defense would provide Kawhi Leonard with an ability to rest on occasion on the defensive end.
The Raptors look to improve on their game one win, and take a 2-0 lead after tonight.
