The Nittany Lions received great news when Lamar Stevens withdrew from the NBA Draft and announced he would return to school, but that’s about all the good news they’ve received.
Rasir Bolton, their second leading scorer, announced his intention to transfer, committing to Iowa State, as well as losing Josh Reaves to graduation.
After a down year, stats wise, Mike Watkins looks to rebound and cement himself as the number two behind Stevens.
Another name to keep tabs on is rising sophomore guard, Myreon Jones. The 6-foot-3 guard scored in double figures four times including an 18-point outing against Virginia Tech in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
Bringing in a four man class, none of which are top-150 prospects, it doesn’t seem like many will provide any immediate help to a team that needs it.
Pat Chambers needs to have a good year in order to save his job, riding the hottest of the hot seats now.
