Indiana Basketball: Ranking the top backcourt priorities in the 2020 class
By Alec Lasley
No. 5: Trey Galloway
A 6-foot-5 guard, Galloway does just about everything right on the floor. Though he may not be great in any category, he is a very good all around player.
Teammates with another Indiana target, Anthony Leal, Galloway has had a terrific spring so far playing for Indiana Elite.
Averaging 19.1 points per game, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 65.5 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from three.
Known more for his driving and mid-range ability, if he can consistently knock down an outside shot, his offensive game expands greatly and he would turn into an extremely good offensive player.
Though he plays more off the ball, Galloway has a great feel for being on the ball and can easily play spot minutes at the college level for a high major team.
The Culvers Academies shooting guard has been high on the Hoosiers for a while but has still yet to receive an offer from coach Miller.
Ranked No. 208 by 247Sports Composite rankings, he currently holds offers from Butler, Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Purdue, amongst others.
With Galloway being very interested in the Hoosiers for a long time, if Indiana doesn’t land him it’s because they get early commitments from some of the other names we are about to look at.
