On Thursday, another 2020 guard picked up an offer from the Indiana basketball program. Get to know Hassan Diarra.

The Indiana basketball staff continues to go after multiple 2020 guards, the latest being Hassan Diarra.

A four-star prospect, Diarra is beginning to pick up multiple high-major offers following a good start to the spring season.

Hassan, who attends Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut, is playing with the PSA Cardinals on the Nike EYBL circuit. Through eight games, Diarra is averaging 12.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists and is shooting 44 percent from the field so far this season.

Diarra, who ranks No. 99 in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, but No. 69 in the Top247, is seeing his recruitment expand following missing a lot of time last year due to injury.

In a recent interview with 247’s Evan Daniels, he addressed the injury situation and how he has dealt with missing most of his spring last year.

“Last year around this time I was hurt, and I couldn’t play,” Diarra said. “But, ever since then I came a long way with getting my health right and tightening my stuff, getting shots up, getting in the gym every day, and getting myself ready for this moment.”

Of the schools prioritizing him, Georgia, Texas Tech, VCU, and Dayton are among his top suitors.

A tough guard, Diarra is well-rounded and a terrific playmaker. With many big names on PSA, he has done a very good job at spreading the ball around, making sure everyone gets their shots.

Although he willingly makes plays for others, Diarra can still get his own. He is an extremely shifty guard who can get into the lane at will with his great first step. Able to dissect the middle of the defense, he has great touch around the rim.

With a built frame, he also has good length and quick hands that has contributed to averaging 1.4 steals per game so far this spring.

With many programs seeing his potential now, this is a recruitment that will take some time to fully develop.
