As the Toronto Raptors advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, it is still unclear whether or not former Indiana basketball forward OG Anunoby will play.

The lone former Indiana basketball player left in the NBA playoffs has yet to play a second of playoff basketball.

Toronto Raptors wing OG Anunoby is recovering from an emergency appendectomy he had right before the playoffs started, and has been out ever since.

On Tuesday though, there was a little bit of an update on Anunoby’s status when it came to his availability in their upcoming series.

Lewenberg went on to say that the tone Nurse was giving off made it seem like Anunoby would most likely miss the series or at least be out the majority of the possible seven games.

Averaging 7.0 points and 2.9 rebounds a game this season, Anunoby was a crucial member of the Raptors bench during the regular season.

Where they will miss him most is on the defensive end of the floor though.

Having to match up against Milwaukees Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anunoby’s length and physical play would have come in handy, especially when wanting to give Kawhi Leonard some rest on the defensive end.

The Eastern Conference Finals starts Wednesday May 15 at 8:30 ET.
