Indiana Basketball: Jordan Hulls takes home another honor

Former Indiana basketball guard Jordan Hulls brings home another award after a stellar season in the FIBA Euro Cup.

After a terrific season for s.Oliver Wurzburg, former Indiana basketball guard Jordan Hulls took home another award for his play in the FIBA Euro Cup, winning MVP honors.

Adding the Most Valuable Player honors to his resumè, Hulls was also named the top guard in the competition last week.

Winning the MVP award by a landslide vote, Hulls received 39.6 percent of the votes (4,748 total votes), by over 20 percent. The runner up was Rashawn Thomas of Dinamo Sassari, who finished with 1,756 votes (14.6 percent), followed by former Ohio State guard, Daequan Cook who had 1,122 votes (9.4 percent), and finally fourth-placed Darius Thompson received 1,022 votes (8.5 percent).

Hulls finished this season averaging 14.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, leading s.Oliver Wurzburg to a runner-up finish.

Falling just short of the Championship, Hulls also fell just short of the 50-40-90 club, finishing with percentages of 52.5 from the field, 49.0 from three, and 84.0 from the free-throw line.

Having scored in double-digits for all put one game in the competition, Hulls was one of the most consistent and best players in the league for the entire season.

The Indiana graduate averaged 9.8 points, 2.7 assists and shot 44.2 percent from three in 135 games (121 starts) in his Indiana career.
