5. How does Indiana fare with recruiting in 2020?

After April is over, the recruiting focus of the Indiana coaching staff will shift to the class of 2020 and 2021.

Since the current roster is in a state of youth, only Devonte Green and De’Ron Davis will need to be replaced.

Due to the aforementioned depth, both those roles are already sufficiently filled by Al Durham/Armaan Franklin and Trayce Jackson-Davis/Race Thompson/Joey Brunk/ barring a transfer situation.

What strategy will Archie Miller take with his recruiting then?

Thankfully, his in-state recruiting focus is only going to continue, but will he potentially pursue some top ten talents in order to supplement the incredible depth he’s built?

It looks like this is the case in the near future, as Miller is targeting three top 20 guards for the class of 2021. The good thing is that there will likely be no shortage of local players coming to play at Indiana, and the depth should be outstanding for a long time barring a recruiting disaster.

Involved in the recruitment of top talent like Caleb Love, Ethan Morton, Caleb Furst, RJ Davis, Dawson Garcia, Zach Loveday, and Anthony Leal amongst others, the Hoosiers will go head to head against some of the top programs in the country to land some of this talent.

There’s a lot to look forward to when the season begins this fall. We will see how the Hoosiers have handled the looming questions over the previous seven months, and how they – hopefully – continue to build a great program for the future.
