The NFL Draft took place this weekend, with four Indiana football players signing with NFL teams.

In what was a great event, taking place in Nashville, the 2019 NFL Draft came and went, with the Indiana football program hearing their name called.

Indiana guard Wes Martin was the first Hoosier to find out where he would land, when he was drafted in the fourth round by the Washington Redskins.

Drafted 131st overall, and although he was expected to be drafted, Martin wasn’t expected to go as early as the fourth round. Though not invited to the NFL Combine, Martin put up a strong outing at Indiana’s pro day, helping his stock immensely.

The Redskins tweeted out this video of Martin’s message to fans after being selected.

With Martin’s selection, it became the sixth year that an Indiana football player was taken in the NFL Draft.

For some of the other names that were hoping to hear their names called, although it didn’t happen over the course of the seven rounds, they quickly signed undrafted free agent deals when the draft ended.

Two of those players were Dan Godsil and Brandon Knight.

Godsil, who set many NFL Combine records for long snappers, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while offensive lineman Brandon Knight signed with the Dallas Cowboys.

While that was all of the movement that happened on Saturday, early Sunday afternoon saw more action as Jonathan Crawford signed with the Tennessee Titans.

Here are the remaining Hoosiers looking to land free agent contracts:

J-Shun Harris
Delroy Baker
Luke Timian
Nick Linder
Dameon Willis
