Archie Miller and Indiana basketball stay on the recruiting trail, visiting multiple 2020 and 2021 prospects on Monday.

Continuing to build the Indiana basketball program for the future, Archie Miller and assistants were across the northeast today, visiting multiple prospects.

Visiting Huntington Prep 2020 center, Zach Loveday, as well as at Stepinac Basketball to watch 2020 guard RJ Davis and 2021 wing AJ Griffin, the Hoosiers were just one of multiple programs making the trip.

Loveday is a 7-foot big man from Ohio, playing his prep basketball at Huntington Prep. Ranked as the 52nd ranked player in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, his recruitment is starting to heat up, led by schools such as Louisville, Ohio State, Florida, and Michigan, in addition to the Hoosiers.

Known for his shot blocking, he is also a very skilled lefty on the offensive end. Loveday has a great inside-out game that does stretch to the three-point line, though he is a work in progress from deep at this stage. With his post game being the bread and butter of his game, his size, and above average footwork at his age, allows Loveday to make easy work of most defenders in the paint.

Not stopping there though, he has good ball handling ability as well as passing ability that makes him a very intriguing prospect.

For RJ Davis, he is more of a secret as he missed six months due to injury over last summer, missing a lot of time in front of college coaches. This past season however, he came back with a terrific junior season, averaging 25.4 points per game 7.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists while shooting 49 percent from the floor and 34 percent from three.

Holding offers from St. John’s, Illinois, Maryland, Seton Hall, Marist, Old Dominion, Manhattan, Fordham, St. Louis, George Washington, UMass and La Salle, Davis is a 5-foot-11 shifty guard. With a great ability to score at all levels, he uses his craftiness to finish above and through bigger defenders at the rim.

Going into his last summer of AAU, look for the three-star guard to shoot up recruiting boards.

Lastly, the other prospect that the Hoosiers visited was one of Davis’ teammates, AJ Griffin.

Ranked as the 10th best prospect in the 2021 class, Griffin is an extremely dynamic wing who can do a little of everything on the offensive end. With a good ability to shoot the three-ball, he can not only create for himself, but also his teammates. At 6-foot-6, Griffin also has great length and can disrupt the passing lanes, creating easy transition buckets.

With a tremendous body and frame, he still has a lot of untapped potential and will be one of the best prospects every program wants come his senior season.
