After a sluggish start to the season, Indiana baseball has kicked it into gear, playing some of the hottest baseball in the country.

A rocky start to the 2019 season had Indiana baseball fans worries, but their recent winning streak has leveled the boat.

Winning 20 of their last 25 games, including winning each of their last six series, Indiana now has a 27-13 overall record and 9-3 in Big Ten play.

On a four series’ winning streak in conference play, the Hoosiers took two-of-three from the Michigan State Spartans over the weekend, and pushed Indiana atop the Big Ten standings, taking sole place of first.

With a 0.5 game lead over Nebraska, Indiana now faces their toughest stretch of the season, facing four programs all just three games or less behind the Hoosiers.

More good news came on the heels of taking over the conference lead, as the Hoosiers were voted back in the top 25 poll this week, ranked anywhere from 23-25 in most polls.

Led by their power hitting, having three players in the top five home run total in the conference, they are balanced out by their terrific pitching staff.

Pauly Milto (6-3, 2.29 era) and Andrew Saalfrank (5-1, 2.40 era) rank third and fourth respectively, in total strikeouts in the Big Ten.

With 15 games left, one against both Kentucky and Louisville, Indiana looks to finish strong, win the Big Ten and make a run at a trip to Omaha.
