Two Indiana basketball signees are amongst the four finalists for Indiana’s Mr. Basketball award.

Announced earlier today, Indiana basketball signees Trayce Jackson-Davis and Armaan Franklin were amongst the four finalists for the Indiana Mr. Basketball award.

The other two finalists who join Jackson-Davis and Franklin are, New Castle’s Luke Bumbalough, a Ball State commit and Valparaiso’s Brandon Newman, a Purdue commit.

The finalist will be determined on May 5 which will be a vote conducted by the coaches and media in Indiana.

Cathedral’s Armaan Franklin, Center Grove’s Trayce Jackson-Davis have the chance to make history for their respective schools, as neither high school has had a Mr. Basketball winner.

Franklin, who scored 1,367 career points, averaged 23.8 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game in his final season at Cathedral and shot 39.3 percent from the three. With an 18-6 record on the season, they also won the City tournament championship. Franklin was also named Indianapolis’ City Player of the Year.

The 6-foot-5 guard is a borderline three/four star recruit and is ranked as the 156th best player in the country by 247Sports Composite rankings.

For Jackson-Davis, the McDonald’s All-American averaged 22.0 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game and shot 61.7 percent from the field. This season, he led Center Grove to a regional championship for just the second time in school history.

A five-star recruit, Jackson Davis is ranked 18th in the country according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Last year’s winner is a familiar face to Indiana basketball fans, as it was Romeo Langford who took home the honors. The Hoosiers look to go back-to-back and restore the title as the best in-state recruiting school in Indiana.
