The overhaul of the Indiana basketball roster leaves room for plenty of bold predictions about next season.

If you’re anything like me, you spend the offseason of college basketball counting down the days until the next season begins.

The NBA playoffs provide some satiation for my basketball sweet tooth, but as much as I love the NBA, it pales in comparison to March Madness. This leads me to imagine some possible scenarios for Indiana basketball next season.

Indiana is in a kind of purgatory now at the moment. The loss of nine players from the 2018-2019 roster creates both excitement and skepticism. It leaves the door open for some grad transfers and high school recruits to come in before Summer, which gives Archie Miller a chance to address the needs of the team. However, losing over half your roster and your two best players is no easy barrier to overcome.

With the roster currently in limbo, there are only so many predictions one can make about Indiana basketball’s future next season.
