Indiana Basketball: Two Hoosiers gearing up for the NBA Playoffs

The NBA Playoffs are starting this weekend, and there are a couple former Indiana basketball players who will be taking part.

Another NBA regular season has come and gone, and now it’s time for the playoffs, featuring a couple of former Indiana basketball players.

The playoffs start on Saturday and will run until early-to-mid June depending on how long each series lasts.

Per the NBA, If First Round series are completed in six games or fewer, the Conference Semifinals may move up to begin on either Saturday, April 28 or Sunday, April 29.

Eric Gordon and OG Anunoby are the two former Hoosiers that will be taking part in the postseason, both having their sights set on the NBA Finals.

Let’s check out their schedule for the First Round and possible Second Round opponents.

Eric Gordon (No. 4 Houston Rockets vs No. 5 Utah Jazz)

In what is a rematch from last year’s playoff series, the Rockets have their minds set on a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Finals with the Warriors.

Gordon, averaging 16.2 points per game while shooting 36 percent from three, will play a huge role in the Rockets’ postseason run.

The Raptors head into the postseason with a much different roster than past years.

With Kawhi Leonard leading the way, Anunoby has taken a back seat most of the season, but has still been a crucial member of the rotation.

Averaging 7.0 points and 2.9 rebounds on the season, Anunoby has been playing 20.2 minutes a game.

Possible Second Round Opponent: (3) Philadelphia 76ers / (6) Brooklyn Nets
