Former Indiana basketball player Thomas Bryant finished his second NBA season, setting a Wizards franchise record in field goal percentage and offensive rating.

The NBA season came to a close for Thomas Bryant, and the former Indiana basketball star has made a name for himself in the league this year.

With their season finale on Tuesday night, Bryant set a Wizards franchise record with a season shooting percentage of 61.6 percent.

He also finished with a franchise record for offensive rating (129.8) this year.

On the season, Bryant averaged 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists a game in 20.8 minutes.

The former second-round draft pick appeared in 72 games and was a staple in the starting lineup, with 53 starts.

Finishing the season strong, Bryant scored in double-figures in nine of the last 10 games, including five double-doubles.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to Indiana basketball fans, as the 6-foot-10 forward ranks first in single-season field goal percent records in Indiana history with 68.3 percent.

After being waived by the Los Angeles Lakers last year, Bryant has found a nice home in Washington, with the Wizards. Though he struggled with consistent playing time early in the season, his play eventually made it tough for head coach, Scott Brooks, to leave him off the floor.

Though the Wizards failed to make the playoffs this season, they have a great front court player in Bryant that should be there for quite some time.
