By Alec Lasley
Two Indiana basketball signees were named to the Indiana “Supreme 15” all-state team for the 2018-19 basketball season.
Indiana basketball signees Trayce Jackson-Davis, from Center Grove, and Armaan Franklin, of Cathedral, were named to the “Supreme 15” team by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
Fifteen seniors and underclass basketball players earned IBCA/Subway “Supreme 15” All-State honors for 2018-19, with teams also being named for Large School All-State, and Small School All-State.
The Large School and Small School all-state teams are secondary honors, as the Large School team includes players from Class 3A and Class 4A schools while the Small School team is comprised of players from Class A and Class 2A schools. Players who make the “Supreme 15” are not considered for Large School or Small School honors.
The “Supreme 15” is the top honor awarded to players regardless of the size of their school.
Also named on the Underclassmen “Supreme 15” team were Indiana targets, Caleb Furst, Trey Galloway, Jaden Ivey, Trey Kaufman, Khristian Lander, and Anthony Leal.
Jackson-Davis has collected many accolades this season including being named a McDonald’s All-American and recently named the Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year. He comes into Indiana as the 18th best player in the country, and the fourth ranked center in the 2019 class.
For Franklin, he collected Indianapolis City Player of the Year honors this season and is ranked as the 155th best prospect in the country.
Both players look to make an immediate impact for Archie Miller and the Hoosiers next season.
