The Indiana basketball program misses out on the NCAA tournament for the 2018-2019 season, failing to make the tournament for the third straight year.

The Indiana basketball program fails to make the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year, after the bracket was announced Sunday night.

After falling to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament, the Hoosiers land in the “first four out” of the NCAA Tournament. The Big Ten, who got eight teams in the big dance, saw Indiana fall to the last of the “first four out” list.

Michigan State and Michigan were the highest of the Big Ten teams, receiving two number two seeds in the tournament.

As one of the first four out, Indiana should receive a number one seed on the NIT, which will be announced later tonight.

Archie Miller has now missed the tournament in his first two seasons in Bloomington, after making it in the last four years at Dayton.

The “last four in” were Arizona State, Belmont, Temple, and St Johns – who was the last team included in the field.

The NCAA committee touched on the amount of the losses that the “first four out” teams had, that kept them out from the NCAA Tournament.
