Indiana falls to 7-7 on the young season.

Let’s take a look at each matchup and how they faired.

Game 1 vs Washington (W, 1-0)

The Hoosiers got off to a great start on Friday, picking up a win over the Washington Huskies who were one of the teams in the College World Series last year.

Once again, it was Pauly Milto who stole the show.

Milto (3-1) had a terrific start for the Hoosiers, throwing eight scoreless innings, including 7.2 no-hit innings, with six strikeouts.

The lone score came from a Drew Ashley single in the sixth inning, driving in Cole Barr.

Barr went 1-for-2 with two walks and the lone run in the game.

Matt Lloyd, who also went 2-for-4 at the plate, pitched one scoreless inning in the ninth, getting awarded the save.

Game 2 vs No. 1 Oregon State (L, 8-3)

Despite scoring two runs in the first inning, the Hoosiers got just one more run the last eight innings, falling to the defending National Champions.

Tanner Gordon (0-3) got the start for the Hoosiers but failed to get his first win of the season. He pitched 4.1 innings, giving up seven hits and four earned runs.

Even with 3.2 strong innings out of the bullpen, Indiana failed to get any traction on Oregon State pitcher Bryce Fehmel (3-0).

Matt Lloyd led the charge for Indiana, going 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, while Cole Barr went 2-for-3.

The Hoosiers tried to rally in the sixth inning, with the bases loaded, but Scotty Bradley flew out to end the inning.

Game 3 vs San Diego (L, 5-3)

In what was an action packed game from the first pitch, there were five runs scored in the first three innings combined.

Getting his first start of the season, Andrew Saalfrank pitched 3.0 innings giving up two earned runs, and striking out just one.

Pacing the Hoosiers for the next 4.0 innings, keeping the game within striking distance, was Conor Manous who didn’t give up a hit while striking out two.

Matt Lloyd and Cole Barr led the Hoosiers from the plate once again. Lloyd went 2-for-4 with two RBI’s while Barr blasted his team-leading fifth home run of the season.
