Indiana basketball continued their ways by defeating Rutgers on Senior Day, making it four straight wins.

On Senior day for the Indiana basketball program, they went out with a bang.

Needing another win to not only get a bye in the Big Ten Tournament but also keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive, the Hoosiers beat Rutgers 89-73.

Getting out of the gates hot and never looking back, Indiana shot 53.6 percent from the field in the first half, while making as many free throws as field goals (15).

In what was a whistle happy game for the referees, where 48 fouls were called, Indiana finished 23-of-29 from the free throw line.

In his last game at Assembly Hall, Juwan Morgan made it a memorable one. He finished with 25 points, including 12 in the first eight minutes of the game. Making his first 10 shots from the field, he finished 11-of-13 on the game. The only thing to slow down Morgan were the refs, as he was in foul trouble almost the entire game.

Something that had been an issue for Indiana for most of the season, the Hoosiers had just five turnovers, their third straight game with less than 10.

Devonte Green continued his great play by scoring 16 points. Something that has made Indiana more dangerous on both ends of the floor has been the ability to play both Green and Rob Phinisee together. With those two in the backcourt, their disruptiveness against opponents on the defensive side has led to many easy points in transition.

Rutgers was led by Eugene Omoruyi with 18 points, while Caleb McConnell added 17 points.

Romeo Langford finished with 20 points and six rebounds in what could be his last home game in an Indiana uniform.
