Indiana Basketball: State of the program moving forward
By Tyler Smith
1. The Incoming Freshmen.
Trayce Jackson-Davis won’t replace Juwan Morgan’s production from day one, but he might be closer than you think. This kid has a chance to be special, and he should produce right away. On the path to be named Mr. Basketball in Indiana this season, bringing in someone of that caliber is always a positive.
Armaan Franklin is another solid recruit, slightly underrated – and he finished shooting around 40 percent from three in his senior season. The Hoosiers badly need more shooters, and backcourt depth, something Franklin could provide.
I fully believe this list will improve greatly in a matter of months, but Indiana still has a real shot at Keion Brooks, and Harlond Beverly, with Trendon Watford and others still considering as well.
Brooks has announced that his decision will be made on March 15th and Indiana could end up being a very impressive class, assuming Archie Miller lands at least one more from the remaining list.
