Despite losing 11 of their last 12 games, Indiana basketball is still in discussion for an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament.

With only two wins in 2019, Indiana is on life support when it comes to their NCAA Tournament hopes, but there is still hope according to Joe Lunardi.

Indiana who was still “considered” in the at-large discussion on Friday, saw little movement In the newest ESPN Bracketology released today, still hanging on by a thread.

Included in the considered list are Furman, formerly in the top 25 like Indiana, Davidson, Creighton, and Arkansas, who beat Indiana earlier this season by one. Murray State after some of the results this weekend, moved into the tournament field as a 13-seed.

Going up against those teams, Indiana has the strongest resume, despite their abysmal conference performance.

Ahead of the Hoosiers that have strong cases are that of the first four out. All four teams listed have very strong resumes and are ranked anywhere between 30-45 in the NET and KenPom rankings, all ahead of Indiana.

Despite being under .500 with their overall record, Indiana has some very good wins to their resume that could push them into the “last four in” conversation with a good final three weeks to the season.

Holding wins over No. 6 Michigan State, No. 24 Marquette, Louisville, and Butler have gone a long way in keeping Indiana afloat this long, but they are starting to run out of steam.

Helping the Hoosiers as well, are their ‘good showings’ in the past two weeks.

In four of their last five games, they have had the ball with under a minute to go with a chance to win the game, all against tournament teams, unfortunately a lack of execution in the final possessions and a couple unlucky bounces not going their way, they lost all of them.

The Hoosiers play host to both No. 19 Wisconsin and No. 6 Michigan State this week looking to get a much needed win and resume booster as we get closer to selection Sunday.
