The five-star prospect has been trending away from Indiana basketball as of late, and the recent developments may keep him away.

Following an unofficial visit to Kentucky over the weekend, Keion Brooks’ recruitment has taken a much different turn than many expected.

With his top five including Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan State, North Carolina and Purdue, it has been more or less down to the first three teams for quite a while now.

For most of Brooks’ recruitment, it was expected that he would eventually end up in Bloomington, but things have drastically changed.

Jerry Meyer, director of scouting for 247Sports, switched his Crystal Ball projections from Indiana to Kentucky.

Now with a 46 percent chance of landing the No. 23 overall recruit, Kentucky seems in the drivers seat with the recruitment.

After visiting Lexington this weekend, Brooks had this to say about his time there.

"“It was crazy. I’ve never been to a game where it was that loud. The atmosphere was really lit, and I loved how Coach (John) Calipari could control the crowd.”"

With his recruitment trending down for the Hoosiers over the last month or two, this may be the exclamation point on Indiana’s involvement with a decision drawing near.

Obviously Indiana is nowhere near out of the running, as they are still constantly in communication with the 6-foot-8 forward, but this marks the first big turning point in his recruitment.

The Hoosiers currently have two signees in the 2019 class, McDonalds All-American Trayce Jackson-Davis, and Armaan Franklin.

Archie Miller has been on the recruiting trail almost every off day as he tries to reel in another player to round out his 2019 class, it just looks like it will be somebody else besides Keion Brooks.
