The five-star recruit is back in the news after a lengthy time away from the spotlight, with two scheduled visits coming up, neither of which includes Indiana basketball.

La Lumiere senior, Keion Brooks, is making two unofficial visits this weekend when he will visit Kentucky as well as Michigan State.

The five-star prospect has Indiana, North Carolina and Purdue listed in his final five as well, but it seems to be a two team race between Michigan State and Indiana, with Kentucky and North Carolina in a distant third.

Brooks will be in Lexington on Saturday when the Wildcats take on No. 1 ranked Tennessee and East Lansing on Sunday for Michigan State’s game against Ohio State. The 6-foot-7 forward is currently the No. 23 recruit in the country according to 247 Composite rankings.

Originally the plan was for Brooks to be done with visits, already taken all of his official visits, but with this change of plan, it seems as though he still has yet to make a decision on which school he will attend next year.

This doesn’t mean that Indiana has lost ground, it could simply be that Brooks hasn’t had the opportunities to visit Michigan State and Kentucky as many times as he has Indiana, considering the distance between all three schools and where he lives.

Something of note is how Trayce Jackson-Davis visited Michigan State last year for an unofficial visit, and then 10 days later, committed to Indiana.

Though there is nothing that points towards Brooks pulling the same move, it is interesting how he could be following in his best friends footsteps.

247 Sports still has Indiana as the favorite, with a 75 percent Crystal Ball prediction of an Indiana commitment, and lead expert Jerry Meyer picking the Hoosiers as well.
