Before they travel for an away game in Minneapolis, Indiana Basketball’s Coach Miller and De’ron Davis took some time to catch up with the media

Archie opened the press conference with an interesting tidbit

"“Got some guys that are under the weather here a little bit with the season, sort of going through some of that”."

He didn’t mention any specific players but one has to wonder who he was referring to.

Miller expects De’ron Davis to play at least 20 minutes tomorrow. In the three games since returning from injury, Davis has posted a +21 point differential when he was on the floor.

Archie Miller was optimistic when asked about having an extended period of practice

"“They have been competitive, fast practices and they have been hard. We’re trying to get better at certain things, watching film and whatnot but it’s been some time that we can spend on ourselves”."

The Hoosiers find themselves in a hole trying to dig out at the moment. One player that they must stop is Jordan Murphy who’s averaging 14.7 PPG along with 11.9 RPG. Archie had nothing but praise for Murphy’s talent.

"“Obviously his career speaks for itself. He’s having a tremendous year for them right now, but he is a load to deal with on — defending him from the perimeter on in, defending him with his back to the basket and keeping him off the glass, it’s a challenge”."

Davis was positive when asked about the upcoming matchup against Minnesota

"“Honestly, this whole week we’ve been preparing. We all have been focusing on us, and trying to get us off the ground. Today is a day we go over them and worry about what they are trying to do but I play my game regardless. My team, we are going to come out and execute the game plan at the end of the day”."

Archie held a 3pm practice after the media session as a final walkthrough before the game. The team looked sharp and hopefully will carry that into the game.

The game can be viewed on ESPN2 at 2pm on Saturday, February 16.
