By Alec Lasley
The Indiana football program continues its recent success with sending players to the NFL, by having three Hoosiers invited to the NFL Combine.
The Indiana Hoosiers have three players who will be attending the NFL Combine in a couple of weeks, when Jonathan Crawford, Dan Godsil, and Brandon Knight make their way to Lucas Oil Stadium.
The 2019 NFL Scouting Combine will take place from Tuesday-Monday, Feb. 26-March 4. This is third time in four years (2018 – program record 5, 2016 – 4) at least three Indiana football players have received invitations to the NFL Combine.
Crawford, a huge part in the recent success on the defensive side of the ball for Indiana, started every game since he arrived on campus in 2015. He became the 12th player in Big Ten history to start 50 games over their career, and ranks eight on Indiana’s all-time interceptions list (9).
Over his career, he amassed 275 tackles, two sacks, seven fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles, and 19 pass breakups while being named a three-time Honorable mention All-Big Ten selection.
For Dan Godsil, he also started every game at long snapper since his arrival in Bloomington, joining Jonathan Crawford in Big Ten history with 50 starts over his career. Godsil was a Phil Steele second team All-American, playing in the the Senior Bowl this year.
A two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Godsil was the snapper for back-to-back All-Big Ten kickers in Griffin Oakes (2017) and Logan Justus (2018).
Lastly, Brandon Knight started 26 games and played in 41 overall at right tackle over his career.
Allowing just three sacks in 904 snaps during his senior year, Knight was an Honorable mention All-Big Ten player and took part in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
