Indiana Basketball: Devonte Green traveling with team to Michigan St
By Alec Lasley
The 6-foot-3 guard will travel with the team to East Lansing after missing the last three games for Indiana basketball.
After missing the last three games due to an “indefinite suspension”, junior guard Devonte Green will travel with the Hoosiers today ahead of their game on Saturday against the Michigan State Spartans, per sources.
It is unclear if he will play, but he will be on the bench for Saturday’s game in East Lansing.
The junior guard is averaging 7.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game in 14 games this season.
In six games with Rob Phinisee out with a concussion, Green started five, averaging 11.2 points and 3.7 assists per game.
During the Hoosiers last three games, it is evident that they are missing energy and a sort of feistiness on the court, something Green was always able to bring regardless of how productive he was shooting the ball.
He did not travel with the team when they visited Northwestern, the first game he was suspended, or Rutgers, but was on the bench when the Hoosiers hosted Michigan last Friday.
Rumors have circulated around the suspension and the reasons for it, but coach Archie Miller has yet to make it public.
The Hoosiers have lost seven in a row now, coming off of another loss against Rutgers on Wednesday.
Indiana will take on Michigan State on Saturday at 6:00 pm EST, with College GameDay in attendance.
