Failing to get a win over the last three weeks, Indiana basketball is moving in the wrong direction as they continue to slide in ESPN’s Bracketology.

Riding a six game losing streak, the Hoosiers continue to fall in the latest ESPN Bracketology, to their lowest seed of the season.

Currently on the 10 line, Indiana was once up as high as a five seed, but with no quality conference wins to speak of, their resume has taken a hit over the last month.

If the tournament were to start today using Joe Lunardi’s bracket, the Hoosiers would take on the seven seeded Auburn Tigers, with a possible matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels in the second round.

The other Big Ten schools in the bracket are, Michigan State (1 seed), Michigan (2 seed), Purdue (3 seed), Wisconsin (6 seed), Iowa (6 seed), Nebraska (9 seed), Ohio State (9 seed), and Minnesota (11 seed).

The Hoosiers hold two of the best non-conference wins in the country though, over Marquette (3 seed) and Louisville (4 seed), although it seems like an entirely different season from the non-conference.

Indiana returns home, after two more road games and six out of their last eight, to face Iowa and Ohio State, two games that could really bolster their resume, getting two good in-conference wins.

Facing Rutgers on Wednesday, Indiana looks to get back in the win column before taking on Michigan State on Saturday in East Lansing.
