After leading for the first 11 minutes of the game, the Hoosiers never saw the lead again, after Northwestern went on a 42-20 run over the next 20 minutes.

The Hoosiers, who were down by as many as 15 points in the second, used a 13-1 run under the  eight minute mark to cut the Northwestern lead to just three, but it was the Wildcats who used a mini 6-0 run before the last media timeout to stretch the lead, eventually winning 73-66.
