During Archie Miller’s press conference on Thursday, he filled everyone in on the health of Rob Phinisee, De’Ron Davis, and Jake Forrester.

The Hoosiers have felt the injury bug all season long, with a multitude of injuries.

Without Rob Phinisee (Concussion), De’Ron Davis (Ankle), and Jake Forrester (Ankle) recently, the depth that was a headline heading into the season has quickly dwindled down.

During his press conference on Thursday, Miller updated the public on the injury situation ahead of Friday’s matchup against Maryland.

As it looks now, Phinisee will miss his fourth straight game, putting more pressure on Romeo Langford to continue the ball handling duties, especially in the half court.

In his three games leading up to the injury, Phinisee was averaging 10.3 points per game – including the Butler game-winner – and 3.3 assists, both at or above his season average.

When it comes to De’Ron Davis (4.8 PPG, 2.1 RPG), his presence in the paint will be greatly missed if he isn’t able to go on Friday. With Maryland ranked sixth in the country in rebounding margin this season, Davis’ size to go up against Bruno Fernando would have been the best matchup for Indiana.

Davis is still recovering from a torn achilles that he suffered last season, just averaging 11.2 minutes a game.

Forrester, who has only played sparingly this season, averages just 4.7 minutes in six games while averaging 3.8 points.

If both forwards can’t go, like Miller said, Clifton Moore will have a larger role.

Moore, who is still adjusting to the more physical play in the Big Ten, has played just 44 minutes this season, but did see seven minutes against Michigan over the weekend.
