The midseason Wooden Award list for college basketball’s bast player has been updated to reflect the performance through the first half of the season.

The top 25 for the Wooden Award was announced Wednesday night, which included two players from Duke, Nevada, and Tennessee, but surprisingly only one from Indiana.

There is one Hoosier on the list though, and that is Romeo Langford. Through 15 games this season, Langford is averaging 18.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

Langford, who is one of seven Big Ten players and five freshman on the list, ranks fifth in the conference in scoring.

Raising his play come Big Ten games, Langford’s scoring is up to 20.5 points while shooting 54 percent from the field.

The other Big Ten players included on the list were Cassius Winston (MSU), James Palmer Jr (Nebraska), Jordan Murphy (Minnesota), Ethan Happ (Wisconsin), Carsen Edwards (Purdue), and Ignas Brazdeikis (Michigan).

It was a surprise that Juwan Morgan didn’t make the list though, as he has proven to be one of the best players in the Big Ten over the course of the last season and a half. Though Morgan isn’t on the list now, the Wooden Award watch lists are published throughout the season, so players not on the current list are allowed to be included in the later updates.
