Ethan Morton is a high priority for Archie Miller and the Hoosiers, as his recruitment has started to heat up.

Butler Area wing Ethan Morton is a very versatile player in the 2020 class, ranked 54 overall in the 247 composite rankings.

The four-star prospect has a great mix of a high IQ to go along with great vision, helping him become one of the best passers in the class, and point guard might not even be his main position.

At 6-foot-5, Morton has great size and length allowing him to play multiple positions on the wing. With his passing ability, his skillset allows for many mismatches on offense.

A good shooting stroke, Morton has a great mid-range game, although he is a very capable threat on spot up three point opportunities.

With his recruitment heating up after a great summer that included a trip the NBA Top 100 camp, Indiana, Purdue, Ohio State, Michigan, Pitt, Stanford, and Marquette seem to be the heavy hitters so far.

Though he is continually hearing from coaches, as of now all he is focus on is the current season, as told to 247 sports.

"“I’m not really focused on recruiting,” explained Morton. “I will take calls, and text with coaches and that stuff, but I think they understand that is in the back of my mind right now. They know how important this season is to me.”"

Though it is still early in his recruitment, Indiana seems to be at the top of Morton’s list as him and Archie Miller have a similar background growing up around the same area of Pennsylvania.

"“We have a really good connection once I have gotten to know him,” said Morton of his relationship with Miller. “Being a Western Pennsylvania guy, and a point guard, I have tried to pick his brain when I have been around him. Also, I have gotten to know him as a person and he is a really good guy.”"

A team to keep an eye on though is his hometown of Pitt. The Panthers and coach Jeff Capel have made him their top priority since Capel took over the program last year.

Still just in the beginning of his junior season, Morton is in no rush to commit to any schools, but Indiana is sure to be in this recruitment for the long haul.
