Ah, what a wonderful day it ’tis when you get to talk about a new offensive coordinator for the Indiana Football program.

Mike DeBord who has been all over the football map in his career is finally hanging it up. We can all say thank you for your time and efforts. We hope you get to spend many years with your family. The truth is Indiana Football needed this to happen. Like Debord, a lot of old school coaches get set in their ways. Which makes it really hard for young teams like IU to ascend.

We are happy Debord made the right decision by stepping down and retiring. We need a young fresh minded offensive coordinator going forward. With so much talent coming into this program we really need to take advantage of this opportunity. This will be one of Head Coach Tom Allen’s biggest decisions in his tenure with this program.

The biggest question is who exactly is the right fit to take on this soon to be explosive offense? We don’t have all of those answers. Allen will hopefully do a thorough search for Debord’s predecessor. We need to take a long hard look into who is available and willing to jump start this program. With so many big names signing to IU we would really love to see a coach who fits our style.

So what is our style? Well, with one of our best recruiting classes ever in the history of Indiana Football coming in, we will most definitely have a high flying offense and a hard nosed defense. This team is already made the necessary overhaul in becoming a true blue Big Ten powerhouse. We all know our Big Ten style. We run the rock and punch you in the mouth on defense. Get excited Hoosier fans, our football program is about to get really exciting.
