As we close out 2018 with a bang we wanted to shed some light in the positives for our Indiana Football team.

New Offensive and Defensive Coordinators

As we all know from the recent news this Holiday week, we were informed that Mike Debord is retiring as our offensive coordinator. Indiana Football is on the rise. We have a young defensive coordinator already taking over for Head Coach Tom Allen. This team has nowhere to go but up.

2018, 5-7, (2-7 Big Ten)

We have a lot to improve on as a complete unit. We started out hot at 4-0, but crumbled as our schedule became tough. With all of the wonderful talent coming into our football program we can only hope for brighter pastures in 2019. With a fresh mind taking over both coordinator positions we should see a major boost in our teams overall ability to play big time football.

2019

So what can we look forward to? We can absolutely look forward to our new coordinators. Our offensive coordinator hasn’t been decided as of yet, but there’s a lot of optimism looking ahead. Who knows, maybe a young talented coach will want to come build with us. We need someone to join the movement as we push forward with full steam into 2019.

This football team needed a massive overhaul to compete in what is widely known as the black and blue conference. We have to play tough hard nosed football. We have to turn this team into a Big Ten bruiser. Tom Allen understands exactly what he has to do to truly turn this program around. He is making all the right moves in recruiting. He has ushered in the second best class in Indiana Football history.

Conclusion

Our team is already 10 times better than what it was after losing to Purdue. We can expect great things from this football program in 2019. We have the right coach in place and all the talent we could ask for. We won’t be anywhere close to a National Championship team, but we should easily win eight games in our 2019 campaign.
