We never truly know who will go and who will stay. Juwan Morgan is an Indiana Basketball legend.

Juwan Morgan has been with our Indiana Basketball program four seasons now. His senior leadership this season has shown in a tremendous way. He completely dominated against the Butler Bulldogs in the Crossroads Classic. Morgan provides so many different things to this young IU team that go unnoticed.

Having a senior on your team who has fought through NCAA Tournaments and played on the 2016 Sweet 16 squad as a sophomore only helps guys like Romeo Langford and Robert Phinisee. Hopefully both stay, but we know the nature of College Basketball. Morgan is amongst a rare few that decide to stay and develop their skillset.

This is his very last push for not only his Indiana career, but his last opportunity to showcase his skillset for the NBA. He has averaged 16 points per game, 69% from the field, 46% from beyond the arc, seven rebounds and three assists per game. This guy can do it all. We watch him hit those huge three point shots and think to ourselves, how? That’s an easy answer because this guy is a baller.

Whoever picks him up will have one heck of a player for the foreseeable future. We wish he could stay another year and help provide more guidance to another young group of players who need that veteran presence and leadership. Juwan Morgan you will be dearly missed after your 2018-19 campaign comes to an end. We hope you go out on top. That’s the only fitting way.

We would love to see Morgan battling it out down low in a revenge game against Duke in the big dance. This IU team has grown so much since that loss. We can only hope Morgan can help lead us to another Big Ten win and tournament appearance before it’s all said and done.
