Indiana Basketball back in Top 25
By Dylan Broady
The Indiana Basketball team is back in the AP top 25 for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
According to ESPN the Indiana Basketball team is in a three-way tie for the 25th spot, alongside Syracuse and Kansas State. We are happy to finally be back in the rankings once again! Our Indiana Hoosiers have earned some very hard fought wins this season and absolutely deserve to be ranked amongst the best. Hopefully this Saturday we can beat Butler and cement ourselves amongst the elite for the rest of the 2018 campaign.
With players like Juwan Morgan, Romeo Langford and Robert Phinisee making big shots and playing good defense down the stretch, the sky is the limit for this ball club. We think this team will get better with each game as we move forward. We will provide a link to the entire Top 25 at the top of this article. What would everyone like to see this team do moving forward?
We would like to see many things. The most important I think we can all agree on is turnovers! Averaging roughly 12 a game isn’t what you want moving forward when Big Ten play is in full swing. We really need to improve on taking better care of the basketball. If we can do that we can start to grow our lead in every game, instead of depending on late game heroics from our star players.
Our bench came up in a big way in last weeks win against the Louisville Cardinals. We can’t always expect everyone to be on the same page. We must take care of the rock. We also need to work on how we play on the road. We have one road win against Penn State this season. This team has so much potential. We are finally back in the Top 25 Hoosier Nation! Time to celebrate!
