We have witnessed some great things from our Indiana Hoosiers thus far in the 2018 campaign. What do we want moving forward?

Less turnovers

We would love to see better ball control out of our Indiana Hoosiers. They are on a three game winning streak. While that’s all well and good, we still need to see our Hoosiers take better care of the basketball. Langford has been a major contributor to the turnover margin this season.

Overall we have averaged 12 turnovers a game. If we could take better care of the ball going forward, then maybe we could stay ahead by more than a few points and win more comfortably. This has been a major issue for our ball club this year. We are young and while that’s no excuse, we do think it plays a major factor in this area.

Romeo Langford

Romeo Langford has paid major dividends to the Indiana Hoosiers this season. He is averaging roughly 18 points per game, two assists, and five rebounds per game this season. What should we expect out of him going forward? We know that he can score the rock, we just think if this team wants to make a serious push for not only the Big Ten title but a long trip in the big dance, Langford will have to step up in an even bigger way.

Juwan Morgan

Morgan has been everything to this team this season. He wants to leave Indiana on a high note. He is averaging 15 points per game, two assists, and eight rebounds. He is that steady stream that keeps this team going each and every game. So what can we expect from him going forward? We can absolutely expect him to show his senior leadership. We can also expect him to keep these young players in the game mentally when it gets tough.

What we need Morgan to do going forward is help in the turnover department. He is averaging two a game along with Langford and Justin Smith. We need Morgan to use that senior mentality to help this team create more turnovers defensively and prevent less offensively. We know Morgan controls the boards and we are thankful for that.

Conclusion

Up next we travel to Bankers Life Fieldhouse to face a team that is just as dangerous as we are. They are a lot better at taking care of the ball too. What our Indiana Hoosiers need to focus on is less turnovers, better ball control and more offense and leadership from our playmakers.
